By Lauren Kingsland

Explore handwork as a tool for mindful living. Find out how and why it is that making something with your hands can bring about a sense of peace, connection, satisfaction, wellness, and joy. Based on Lauren Kingsland's new book “Hands On Mindfulness,” the class offers project ideas and stories of positive life shifts aided by focusing on handwork. Examine examples of historic handwork for mental health and mindfulness from the Smithsonian Institution collection.
