Learn powerful features of Procreate for iPad and Apple Pencil. Students should have an introductory understanding of Procreate (see Digital Drawing Fundamentals) and a desire to learn advanced techniques like photo layer adjustments, customizing brushes, and animating within the software. The demonstration covers:
- Creating a custom canvas
- Setting guides and grids
- Importing photos
- Customizing brushes
- Making layer adjustments and clipping masks
- Animation
- Exporting and publishing
Students are encouraged to attend with an iPad, Apple Pencil, and Procreate ready to follow along and produce their own artwork during the demonstration. If you are purchasing an iPad, Apple Pencil and Procreate, please reference their compatibility. Apple Pencil Compatibility | Procreate Compatibility
Students who participate and produce work are encouraged—but not required—to share their progress with the rest of the class.
Students with other digital drawing tools (computers, tablets, software) are welcome to attend.
