Learn to fashion a rose in all its stages and hypericum buds in this 3-session workshop. Using spun cotton and foam balls, construct petals and leaves with and without wire. In the first session build roses in various states of bloom; learn about basic construction as you stretch and build each bloom using different shades of crepe paper. In session 2, work on creating wired leaves and finalizing the roses. In the final session, build a hypericum using spun balls and wire to fill out the posy. Get a feel for the materials by building flowers out of heavy and extra fine crepe paper.
Beginners and seasoned crepe-paper enthusiasts are welcome.
