Bring your inner naturalist and curiosity to draw mushrooms on coquille board, a textured paper that reduces drawn lines to a stipple-like pattern resembling a mezzotint.
Using a single drawing tool such as a black colored pencil or China marker, it is easy to generate drawings with great contrast. It is also possible to use colored media on coquille board. Dry media such as pastel and colored pencil adhere to the surface without destroying its distinguishing texture. Used in combination, these media produce a tinted base layer upon which details and more saturated hues can be added. Experiment with a variety of colored media in this class.
