Materials for this program

By Marcie Wolf-Hubbard

Enjoy exploring Smithsonian gardens and discover the fountains, flowers, and architectural elements that make the gardens stunning. Begin with sketching and photographing in the gardens, then head back to the studio to construct in mixed media. Experiment with materials and find new approaches to render the Smithsonian gardens’ beauty. Design in 2D and bump it up with 3D relief using cardboard and other materials. Finish your artwork with colorful acrylics and mixed media.

Please note that some specialized materials are provided.
