Learn to love the linocut, a relief printmaking process. In this four-week course, start by learning how to select and prepare your plate. Practice methods of transferring designs to your linoleum block. Then work on carving and cutting methods and figure out which sharp tools are your favorites. After carving, complete the process and create an edition of prints with eco-friendly inks by hand on various types of paper. Special Program Information The instructor is Kathy Beachler. This program includes 4 sessions, 2 hours each. Class will not be held on February 16 and the February 23 session was postponed due to weather. General Information This studio arts program is a Zoom Meeting to allow for patron and instructor interaction online. All Studio Arts programs require an online registration for each participant so that the instructor can provide individual attention to every student registered for the online program.
