This class prepares you to create your next mixed-media masterpiece. By understanding acrylic paints, gels, and mediums that are used for layering with collage, learn to develop grounds on a substrate. Each ground becomes the foundation for your next painting. Then paint collage papers for integration into your design. This class also discusses strategies to simplify your subject into three value patterns. You are encouraged to take risks and work beyond your traditional practice in pursuit of developing your personal language. The techniques you learn can be applied to a variety of subject matter, styles, and surfaces to create your own artistic statement.
