July 22 - 26, 2019, 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
What do old jeans, flowers from the garden, onion peels, and dryer lint have in common? They can all be elements of beautiful custom-made papers. Campers combine a variety of ingredients to make their own specialty paper, and learn the techniques of paper dying, marbling, embossing, sculpture, origami, and more. They view money made at the Bureau of Engraving and Printing and explore paper-based artworks at the American Art Museum. (This pairs well with Altered Book Buffet in Week 7.)
