Is your young artist ready to interpret art history and record their unique view of the world? Campers time-travel to France at the turn of the 20th century and learn about some of the era’s most famous impressionist artists including Monet, Cassatt, and Renoir, and examine their paintings at the National Gallery of Art and National Portrait Gallery. Inspired by the revolutionary nature of these works, they apply new knowledge of color theory and painting techniques to create their own masterpieces. At the end of the week, the budding art historians present an exhibition of impressionist-style works.
