Campers don their pith helmets and grab their trowels as they set off on a Mayan adventure. They put archaeological techniques into practice as they excavate a village in a specially designed dig box. They deepen their knowledge of Mayan history and culture with visits the American Indian Museum, create clay pots using traditional Indian methods, and practice drawing and deciphering Mayan hieroglyphs. Campers demonstrate their understanding of the tools and practices of modern archaeology at the Friday Show-and-Share presentation.
