Ratifying the 13th Amendment
This is an engraving of the Congressional Resolution of the 13th Amendment to abolish slavery at the American History Museum. The 13th Amendment was ratified on December 6, 1865.
1844 abolitionist song, "Get Off the Track," which would have been sung by anti-slavery societies.
