Our past informs our future. From ancient civilizations to the building of American democracy, adventurers will journey to uncover some of the lesser- known stories behind history’s unique people and events. Virtual visits to museum collections, insights from experts, and hands-on projects help them understand the stories of the past and empower them to tell their own. They curate collections inspired by Smithsonian objects that showcase their own perspectives on history.

In grade-appropriate multi-week programs, participants take a deep dive into the Smithsonian’s collections. These Adventures engage young people with unique content about natural sciences, history, art, and so much more. Weekday sessions explore a variety of Smithsonian topics and include virtual visits to museums, hands-on projects, games, collaborative challenges, and conversations with experts during an hour and half of live online interaction with a team of experienced instructors.
