Monday-Friday, 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
6/21, 6/22, 6/23, 6/24, and 6/25 (5 sessions total)
We can all do our part for sustainability. Adventurers discover fun ways to make our planet a bit greener—and better for all of us—as they learn about the ecological connections among the people and creatures that call it home. Using the Smithsonian’s own conservation efforts as inspiration, they explore a variety of energy sources and their benefits to our planet and its inhabitants. Through experiments, creation of eco-themed art, and virtual visits to Smithsonian museums and research centers, everyone becomes an Earth hero.
In grade-appropriate, week-long sessions, participants take a deep dive into the Smithsonian’s collections. These Adventures engage young people with unique content about natural sciences, history, art, and so much more. Weekday sessions explore a variety of Smithsonian topics and include virtual visits to museums, hands-on projects, games, collaborative challenges, and conversations with experts during 2 hours of live, online interaction with a team of experienced instructors.
Registration for this Adventure will close two weeks prior to the first session date. If you are trying to register after that point, please email us at SummerCamp@si.edu and we will do our best to accommodate your request if space is still available.
