Traditional junk boat sailing in Victoria Harbour, Hong Kong

As melting pots of cuisine and culture, Hong Kong and Macao are two of the most exciting destinations on the planet, and they’re separated by only an hour’s ferry ride. Discover the myriad of attractions these Asian locales hold as you get insider’s tips from television host, writer, and producer Darley Newman, who has filmed a variety of episodes on both for her PBS series “Travels With Darley.”

In Hong Kong, Cantonese cuisine, markets, colorful traditions, outdoor adventures, neighborhoods, and temples take center stage. In Macao, go beyond the skyscrapers to savor authentic Portuguese-influenced food, culture, and history. As part of the evening, Darley debuts her PBS episode on Hong Kong and Macao—the first time she has paired them on air—as well as the production crew’s outtakes from the filming.

After the program, join Darley at a light reception featuring Asian appetizers and drinks.
