The French and Indian War (1754–1763) was the North American conflict in a larger imperial war between Great Britain and France known as the Seven Years’ War. Campers explore the cultural and historical context that led to this conflict through reference books and documentaries. To immerse themselves further in this struggle of the mid-18th century, they visit the Price of Freedom exhibition at the American History Museum. They build their own dioramas of battlefields along the eastern coast of America, and paint and detail miniature French, British, and Native Americans combatants, and play strategy games that reenact and reimagine the nine years of battles.
