What’s your favorite in the Night at the Museum movie series? For locals, it’s got to be Battle of the Smithsonian, which finds plenty of high adventure and comedy right here on the National Mall. Campers grab their journals and go “on location” in investigative field trips to Smithsonian museums for inspiration as they develop new characters to star in their own version of the film. In addition to creating a Smithsonian-inspired performance, they enjoy collaborative theater games, explore group playwriting, learn dialects, compose an Oscar-worthy theme song, rehearse dance and movement, and learn safe stage combat. The whole creative team rolls out the red carpet for family and friends attending Friday’s premiere.
