It’s a great big town, but some of New York’s most beautiful tributes are tiny ones—postage-stamp sized, to be exact.

The Postal Museum’s exhibition New York City: A Portrait Through Stamp Art spotlights 30 original works in variety of styles and mediums that were used to create stamps that celebrate one of the greatest cities in the world and its cultural heritage.

Join us for an evening at the museum as Calvin Mitchell, assistant curator of philately, provides insights into the exhibition, whose works represent categories covering baseball, Broadway, city life, icons, politics and government, and music.

The evening also offers a taste of New York in some light refreshments, as well as a chance to try your own hand at designing, collecting, and sending your own postal creations.

One drink ticket for a specialty cocktail or nonalcoholic beverage and light hors d’oeuvres is included with admission; a cash bar offers a specialty cocktail, wine, beer and nonalcoholic beverages. Must be 21 years old with valid ID. Not a seated event.

Please note that pricing will increase at the door (if available) as follows: Members $30 and Non-Members $50.
