The award-winning 21st Century Consort, led by Artistic Director Christopher Kendall with consort artists Elisabeth Adkins, Paul Cigan, Lisa Emenheiser, William Sharp, Lucy Shelton, Sara Stern, Rachel Young and many others, present a season inspired by the Smithsonian American Art Museum’s 2011-2012 exhibitions and continue as Artists in Residence.

Your ticket includes a pre-concert discussion with Christopher Kendall and guests and post-concert reception. Doors open at 3:30 p.m.



Music of Games

The Art of Video Games is one of the first exhibitions to explore the 40-year evolution of video games as an artistic medium, with a focus on striking visual effects and the creative use of new technologies. Who better to explore and comment on this new realm than the Smithsonian American Art Museum’s consort in residence? Spotlight Exhibition: The Art of Video Games.
