The Art and Technique of Applique

This course is designed to introduce students to a variety of techniques and stitches available for sewing one piece of fabric to another. Participants should have a basic knowledge of quilt making.

Masterworks of Four Centuries

The Smithsonian Chamber Music Society celebrates its 33rd season with an appropriately eclectic repast, balancing familiar masterworks with undeservedly neglected oeuvres perdues. This concert features music by composers Franz Schubert and Anton Bruckner.
